I want to say thank you so very much for keeping my company throughout 2021. The past two (2) years have been difficult for all of us. We have experienced the death or illness of loved ones. We have experienced separation and loneliness. We have experienced loss so undeniably painful. The landscape around us has changed and is changing. Life as we knew it is no longer the same. Along with these changes have been opportunities, which we may not have had otherwise. Focus on the good, leave the bad which is just there to refine our characters.
Look out
Throughout the last year, the Intentional Immigrant channel has sought to show some of the opportunities and pitfalls that an immigrant can face. This was done by sharing and highlighting the experiences of some immigrants who have walked the path before us. Hoping that it has been beneficial.
To share an example, in the summer, my husband and I often go for walks along a very scenic trail close to our home. At a particular spot, the pavement is a bit uneven, not very noticeable, but I have stubbed my toe a few times. I remember after the first two (2) times, my husband said “you didn’t remember that the pavement is uneven.” Consequently, the third time, as we approached that particular spot, he started calling out “remember the uneven pavement.”
Sometimes in our walk in life, our figurative pavement, the path, can get bumpy. My guests have sought to show where the bumps in the road are, so that you don’t have to make the same mistakes, which will result in a better outcome.
A Year of New Beginnings

As we embrace 2022, here are my thoughts:
The landscape will continue to change, some things are within your control and some things just aren’t.
Change what you can about your life. Leave the others alone. Focus on the good. The bad is there to make you a better version of yourself.
Life is too short to live in the may have been, could have been, or should have been.
Be intentional, be purposeful, be thankful, be at peace.
Go with God, He’s the only constant, unchanging friend. He’s come to give you a more abundant life. He will be there throughout the changing seasons of your life, including 2022.
Pick up some good habits and drop the bad, useless ones.
Start journaling. Take time for reflection, for pausing. Evaluate where you are and where you want to be.
Set your goals, and go after them fearlessly.
Make time for what is important. Priceless things, such as family, people whom you care about and who care about you.
Get out of your comfort zone. You will never know unless you try.
Try something new and different.
Don’t be stuck. Undoubtedly, you may fail yet your goals are within your grasp, if only you should try again.
Above all, I hope you have been inspired, motivated, and encouraged by the Intentional Immigrants Channel.
In summary, let 2022 be the year that you will live with intention.
